Degrees Down Under (DDU) and the DDU Widget display the current temperature for locations around Australia, using high-quality data from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology website. Common features include:
•choice of actual or apparent temperature display
•links to detailed observations on the Bureau's website.
•instant indication of temperature via varying colour.
If you are upgrading from version 1.0.2 or earlier, you will need to re-select your chosen weather station.

DDU Widget
Brings Degrees Down Under to the Mac OS X Dashboard. The DDU Widget can display temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit. It is a joint project with Warwick Emanuel.
Mac OS X 10.5 or later is required. If you’re using Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget’s icon in the Widget Bar to open it. If you’re using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder. show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget’s icon in the Widget Bar to open it.

The Degrees Down Under application provides more control over preferences than the widget.
