VOYA stands for “Vincentian Outreach Young Adults”. It is a Catholic group organized around service to the poor in community. Taking our cue from St. Vincent De Paul (the patron saint of charity in the Catholic church), twice a year we provide an opportunity for young adults around the country to reach out in service to help the marginally poor. We call these volunteer opportunities, “Projects”.

Our shorter project is in the Winter, lasting a total of four days over President’s Day Weekend.
The longer outreach in the summer covers 6 days. We live in community, usually in very simple environs, and live our faith in a very practical and deliberate way after the example of Jesus Christ. The place of our Projects varies around the country. The choice of where we go is determined by two criteria:

  1. 1.Must be direct service to the poor

  2. 2.A locale that is also interesting and engaging (realizing many young adults who volunteer are using vacation time to do this)

Want to do something to help others?

Don’t have a lot of time or money?

Would like to meet other young people like yourself with the same desire?
