Current Missions:

OMNI’s current focus is in the Copperbelt region in Zambia, in South Central Africa.

OMNI is developing OMNI Children's Village, a 50 acre site in the George Community near Ndola. Four buildings are complete, two of which are being used to teach grades 1-6.  Electricity has been brought to the village, a borehole and water tower have been placed to provide clean running water to buildings, and toilets and septic tanks replace outdoor latrines. Additional classrooms are under construction. Future plans include school expansion and a medical clinic.

George OMNI School is currently educating 165 students grade 1 through 6.  OMNI supplies teacher salaries, uniforms, a feeding program with lunch and a snack, and school supplies.

A 16 team member mission is planned in April 2010.  Team members will gather from Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, and Minnesota. The mission will include mobile medical outreach to 9 villages which have no other access to medical care.  A birthing center was established in one village and continues to be supported with supplies.  Surgery has been arranged and completed for three children with disabilities, and additional children have been identified for surgical treatment.

George OMNI School

OMNI recognized a need to educate the children in the George community. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to open the George OMNI School in 2005. OMNI employs teachers and started the feeding program, which enables us to educate 165 children grades 1 – 6. With the ongoing development of OMNI Children’s Village, the school will be expanded for more students and additional grade levels.
