The California Thrasher is a very impressive bird with a gigantic curved beak.  He sings like a Mockingbird, but with a musical quality and none of the coarseness of the Mocker.  The Brown Thrasher is a long way from home and very unusual in San Diego County.  Bendire’s Thrasher is also unusual, with very few records of the bird locally.
