Phoebes & Kingbirds

The Black Phoebe is a very common resident urban bird. Western Kingbirds have a white stripe along the sides of the tail and a dark line through the eye.  Both are lacking in the Cassin’s Kingbird.  These birds are part of a larger family called tyrant flycatchers.
