Purcellville area churches and businesses are hosting the Sixth Annual no-cost traditional Holiday meal for the community at Bethany United Methodist Church, 100 W. Main Street (Big Stone Church in the Center of Town) on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Anyone in the community who may be alone, on-the-job, or just wants to share in the joy of coming together is invited. Families are welcome. Those who are unable to come to the church may request a meal to be delivered by calling Bethany at 540-338-7648 or e-mailing thanksgivingtogether@gmail.com on or before November 24.
Turkey & Dressing, Ham, Green Beans, Sweet Potato Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Apple Sauce, Cranberry Sauce, Home Baked Rolls & Butter, Homemade Apple and Pumpkin Pies and assorted beverages will be prepared and served by community volunteers.
HOW TO VOLUNTEER
Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching and our plans are coming together for the sixth annual Thanksgiving Together dinner to be held again at Bethany United Methodist Church (Purcellville, VA). The planning team has been working hard pulling all the details together to provide a festive dinner for anyone who would like to attend. Several local congregations are involved providing leadership, volunteers and contributions. Please know that any excess funds will be donated to local food pantries. If you , or someone you know is interested in attending please come! We will be serving from 11.30 until 2.30 Thanksgiving Day.
This event is open to anyone who would like to attend. We especially reach out to those who may be alone, working, or not up to preparing a large meal. Families are welcome. Please help spread the word.
