Black rims look so, well, dark. I decided to paint them red, so they would stand out. You have to take the wheels off to mask and paint them. Here’s how it went...

We did presentations at the FACUG (Florida Association of Computer Users Groups) conference in Maitland, and took the project bike out for the day. I did a Podcasting How-Two at the conference, and they asked me to bring the bike along as a prop, since that’s what this podcast is about. I didn’t have the guts to start it up and ride it out of the conference center...

The clutch lever mechanism, in keeping with the western theme, is a lever-action rifle replica. Not being a big fan of scaring law-enforcement officials into pulling me over with regularity, some thought has gone into farcing the replica to the degree that would be hard to interpret as an authentic firearm from a distance.

Tonight, I attended the FMPug (FileMaker Pro Users’ Group) in Orlando, where a buncha FileMaker Pro Execs from California came, as a convenient result of the FETC conference that they were manning a booth at.

Another opportunity to work on the bike, and instead, I had to go LEARN something.
