Tat has been with the band since the age of 11 and has been principal cornet for most of that time. As band fixer most bandsmen in the North West know of him and often ignore phone calls from him to avoid depping! Dave has played with other bands as a dep but has resisted advances from many top bands to join. It is safe to say that but for Tat there are times in the past the Whitworth band would have struggled to continue so the band owe a great deal to him.

Dave is a company director of WT Building Services providing ventilation solutions for many different types of industry. In his spare time Dave can be found watching his beloved Burnley football club or his beloved Salford Rugby League club or his beloved’s horse Giggsy (usually from behind as he tries to keep up with Karen on his push bike up and down the hills around Whitworth). Dave is also an accomplished snooker player and often supplements his income by fleecing other members of the band at snooker or pool!

Dave’s ambition is to single handedly keep the band club afloat by drinking copious amounts of alcohol purchased over the bar.
