KiwiPACT has been launched as an initiative to clarify and agree the practice of copyright in the marketplace for photographers, visual artists & businesses in New Zealand. We first need to build the appropriate procedures for everyone to agree, so we are calling for all interested parties to sign up & volunteer to help construct industry best practice. This is not a single action, it is a long term initiative, designed to put in place a framework than can be used for many years to come.

KiwiPACT is only a proposal at this stage. We need a large number of photographers & visual artists and interested businesses in New Zealand to sign up & volunteer to help before we can seek the approval of trade bodies  & then roll out the initiative to commercial organisations.


We need SUPPORTERS

Send your details (name, email, occupation) to this email address indicating that you are prepared, in principle, to support this endeavour (subject, of course, to final details). We would also appreciate in your email to get details of all past or current suspected breaches of copyright, plus the contact details of any commercial organisation that you think should be approached to join this initiative once it is ready. We are particularly interested in hearing from students, as you will be entering the world of commerce soon & we’d like to start the process of ensuring you are prepared for the commercial & legal implications of your business practice by providing you with clear information.
