Not an introvert, or extrovert, but an Electrovert.
So I’ve tried to meet people recently. Trying to get out of my non-dating funk. I know I’m interested in a few people, mostly that are quite a distance away, and that I’ve been talking to for a long time. But I figured why not try and meet someone local?
Well I’ve updated my gay.com profile, spent a bit more time on myspace.com and generally hung around in a few chat rooms to see if anyone wanders through. See I’m not much for clubs or what not. I do enjoy parties, but I don’t get invited to gay people parties that often. So I use the internet as my social connection to the “gays”.
I hate to say that it’s not working, but the people I’ve met recently show interest at first but before we even go have dinner they either flake out or stop responding to messages. If I was just trying to get laid, I could have four guys over a night. To actually get someone to just go on a date seems impossible though.
Is it wrong to ask for a date first? Am I missing something here? I’d love to find someone that I’m interested in physically as well as emotionally and mentally. It may be that is my problem, I want 3 out of 3.
