I am a world coin collector specializing in Great Britain, British Colonies, Canada and Unified Germany along with many other world coins. I have also been a long time Rock-hound and collector of Rocks, Minerals and Gems; as well as Lapidary. I can’t exact;y explain why I started collecting Great Britain starting with George III, but would like to summarize it as being the turn of the 18th and 19th Centuries intrigued me and it was also the birth of the U.S.A. I can also blame (or thank) some fellow collecting friends who got me interested. There are some great references for British coins and two I would recommend are Spink’s ‘Coins of England’ annual catalog and Coincraft’s (no longer published) ‘Standard Catalog of English and UK coins’
