The mission statement of the Collegedale Academy Band and Chamber Orchestra is to provide a balanced program to the competent instrumentalist.  The program setting will provide musical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual growth through repertoire, performance and related musical activities.  This program will enhance students’ lives by helping them to realize a higher level of self-awareness, to develop a greater facility for self-expression and to emerge a more complete human being.  This program will encourage a life long learning and enjoyment of the arts.

Melding national standards into a religious curriculum is attainable and keeps the Christian student’s music education balanced.  The instrumental program at Collegedale Academy has a long history of excellence.  The high student participation rate and community support are indicators of the perceived value of the program.
