Shalom from Ryan President’s Message Shalom, Welcome to the 2007-2008 programming year. It is with great honor, that I hold the position of Godol. Our chapter, Pascack Valley AZA, Chapter #1353, is a premier chapter. For years, Pascack Valley AZA was not only a tightly-nit chapter, full of intelligent, good-looking, sophisticated teenagers, but also, it was a large chapter—one where not only were brothers filled with passion, but also, where the seats were filled with brothers. My brothers, it is my goal to leave my mark on this incredible region. The Greater Jersey Hudson River Region (Para los que hablan español: “Región más grande de Río de Jersey Hudson”) is the second largest region in the world. The acclaimed singer/songwriter “Rebecca”(like Madonna she only goes by one name) said at a recent concert, “Man, the GJHRR is the BEST region in the World.” So, the Region is the best. Now, I put it to you, PVAZA Board—who’s the best AZA chapter in the region? I pledge to give my time and energy to this chapter; however, it will take an effort from all of us to make a difference—We must all recruit, recruit, recruit. PVAZA is floundering and it is time to turn things around. I want to DOUBLE our membership. Currently, we are at a disappointingly low membership number. Retention is key, and with interesting and varied programming, members will keep coming back. I believe, that we can do it. With strong recruitment, and a high percentage of retention, we can once again reclaim the title as the best chapter in the best region in the world.
