This is my 1963 Ford F100 Custom Cab pickup, 292 c.u. V8 engine, 3-speed manual transmission and no power anything. It’s in fairly good original shape and seems to have only had a couple nicks and scratches over the years. The inside has been repainted but it retains its original color scheme. The serial number shows that it was built in New Jersey in April of 1963. This particular year started out being made as a “Unibody” style where the cab and bed were one molded piece. Not long after those models started coming off the assembly line it was discovered that when the bed was weighed down with cargo, the stress in the middle of the body prevented the doors from opening. They ended up finishing off the year’s models by separating the cab and bed again and slapping on a bunch of old 1959 beds they had laying around. That’s the model I have, and though the Unibodys are rare because of that flaw, the retrofitted models like mine are equally rare.

The engine has been completely restored and rebuilt as well as the braking system. It should last another 40 years.

It drives like a tank

The old swing down, chain-braced tailgate

No seatbelts. Optional that year, just like my Impala

empty engine compartment while it was out being rebuilt.
