innovation journalism

I set up this page to showcase some of the multimedia work done by my students at CSULB. I taught this particular class, JOUR 495 Senior Seminar: Innovation Journalism, in Fall 2008. It focused on the concept of innovation journalism (InJo), which is a new reporting field covering innovation in technology, science, the environment, energy, business, politics, and public affairs, among others.

Besides covering innovation, InJo also uses innovative technologies such as blogs, slide shows, video, audio, and infographics, to tell the story. Each group of students had to produce three innovation news packages throughout the semester. I selected a representative sample of student SLIDESHOWS for this page.
