For those of who came to the reunion here in 2001, welcome back. For everyone else this is an invitation to join us during the first weekend in August for three days of storytelling, lively presentations, music and relaxing as we get together again at the Blue Ridge Assembly. Our theme this year is “Celebrating the Past, Impacting the Future.” Panels will look at recent traumatic events in South Asia, from earthquakes to illnesses to the tsunami and how Woodstock people have responded. But we will do a great deal celebrating of the past, as well, as we enjoy being with each other again.
The program will be full, as usual, but for those who make time, or who want to get away with friends for a few hours, there are two good Indian restaurants in town, Indian Garden and Mela, and many summer activities ranging from a high class Village Art and Craft Fair in Biltmore Village to a visit to the Biltmore House to a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway or simply exploring Asheville. Come a weekend earlier and you (along with 300,000 other people) can attend Asheville’s summer blow-out, Bele Chere.
We will be adding to this website as the reunion gets closer so visit here again for more about Woodstock and India and Asheville.
