Ginny Martin is a two-time Emmy award winning documentary filmmaker from Dallas,Texas. She uses her experience of 30 years and skills as a director, writer, cinematographer and editor to create powerful and touching interpretations of the human experience. Her most recent film, Still Waiting:Life After Katrina tells the story of 3 women and their extended families as they go about reclaiming their lives in the aftermath of Katrina.

Her documentary, The Power of Harmony, was broadcast on PBS in June, 2006. It is the story of a gay men’s chorus who has transformed painful losses from HIV and rejection from their own families and churches into a powerful voice for compassion and equality.

Martin produced numerous other documentaries for public television during her tenure at KERA, including Matisse and Picasso(Emmy nominee), The U.S. Mexican War (a four part series, and Emmy winner) After Goodbye, An AIDS Story (Emmy winner) Frozen Music, the Making of a Concert Hall, and Wildflowers with Helen Hayes.
