Over the last several years Red Fern has established a successful consultation and perennial maintenance service in the Beach Cities. We specialize in container gardening, often incorporating self-watering liners making a garden oasis possible anywhere. Traditional flower gardens are always lovely, but we try to promote alternative and sustainable garden design; incorporating native plant species with other rewarding, carefree perennials. Red Fern also offers seasonal maintenance and color planting. Proper quarterly pruning and trimming extends the life of your perennials and keeps the garden looking fresh all year. Most of our clients we’ve been maintaining for 3-5 years now and their gardens are more beautiful every year that passes; whereas many homeowners consider major rejuvenation or replants as often as every five years. The philosophy is that a garden cannot be created instantly, but should be allowed to mature naturally with combinations of flowering shrubs and shorter-lived perennials filling the places between.
