Today Ione came up to me and started yammering.
“Mommy, look! I have so many nipples. I have a nipple here, and one here and more nipples down here!” she says, pointing to the little brown dots on her legs and arms.
“Ione, those aren’t nipples. Those are freckles.”
“Oh.” she says, then walks away.
Later in the day she comes up to me again, scratching her knee.
“Mommy, one of my nipples itches really bad!”
“Ione. That is not a nipple. Or a freckle. That is a misquito bite.”
