A Newsletter Which Makes a Genuine Difference

Today, like never before in history, the Bible and the theology it contains is under attack.  2 Timothy 3 and 4 says that in the end of days, people will turn to their  own  ways, no longer enduring sound doctrine.  Sadly, chapter 3 reads like many modern day church membership lists, rather than a description of biblical unfaithfulness.

  1. Evolution is being embraced from within the pew, because people believe that science and the Bible are incompatible and place more faith in pseudo-evidence than in the infallible Scripture.

  2. Gender role reversal makes a mockery of man’s designated function in the family and within the congregational structure, depriving him of the dignity his position was designed to elicit.

  3. Biblical illiteracy is at an all time high.  People no longer know what the Bible says on any given issue, nor in many cases, would it make a difference in their behavior if it was revealed.

  4. Modern mistranslations of the Bible give the nod to permissive behavior, deviancy, outright disobedience to clear instructions and apathetic indifference to offending G-d.

  5. The revisiting of key concepts such as the unchanging nature of G-d, male and female roles, leadership qualifications, and salvation itself have opened wide the doorway of relativistic thought.

Incredibly, many of today’s spiritual leaders do not believe that an infallible, inflexible and unchanging Word of G-d is relevant to the smooth running of their organizations.  Success is measured by the number of warm bodies in the pew, how many programs they run and by the balance of the building fund.

What areas of biblical theology are under attack?  How do you lead your flocks into greener pastures when so many of the sheep... and even some of your fellow shepherds are color blind?

Do you know how to answer skeptics and the genuinely hungry learner alike?

Some of the upcoming subjects we hope to present to pastors from within a Jewish framework in order to equip you to “rightly divide the word of truth” include:

  1. How does an observant Jewish scholar answer those “difficult” questions about the triune nature of G-d?  What’s a Jewish perspective?

  2. Is there a Jewish understanding about the divinity of Y’shua (Jesus) that you have never heard before?  Could the Talmud, Midrash or other ancient rabbinic commentaries actually reinforce the New Testament claims of a theophany in John 1?

  3. Does the Old Testament teach salvation by legalism, while the New Testament teaches salvation by faith?  If so, did G-d change His methods?  If so, why?

  4. Many, many more... We’re pretty excited about this and hope that you are too!

Also coming soon:  At the end of each article, you will be able to grade the content, its relevancy, whether or not it was helpful to you, and allow you to suggest topics of study from a Jewish perspective in future editions.  All of these will help this resource be the best Pastors assistant that it can be... holding up your arms as you lead your people through the wilderness.
