John Glaser of Compass Box has started a petition.

430 names are already on it, agreeing that the term Blended Malt should be dropped by the SWA and DEFRA (the government Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs).

And of course allowing  the use of  a  distillery name  on such a whisky should equally be made clearly impossible.
