Fast Laddie

From 88 entries for the 2008 Le Mans 24 Hours,  55 have been invited to take part in June’s famous endurance motor race.

The field is split in to two types of car – the  Le Mans Prototypes (experimental cars) class 1 and 2; and Grand Tourers (road cars) class 1 and 2.

Peugeot and Audi are both entering  three cars each in the LMP1 category, while in LMP2  the Bruichladdich Radical SR9 will run for a second year alongside two Porsche RS Spyders. Let’s hope that Tim has better luck this year  - he ignominiously crashed out within the first  hour of the race – albeit in rain.

Four Aston Martin DBR9s and four Corvette C6.Rs are entered  in GT1, while GT2 is a Ferrari-dominated affair, with no less than eight F430s entered along with three Porshe 997s making the initial cut.
