Satan’s Plan

Aspects of Satan’s Plan
Aspects of Satan's plan and how they relate to us in particular:

  1. We are not responsible for our own actions.
  2. Someone else will take care of us.
  3. Someone else knows what is best for us.
  4. Don't worry about your behavior, a little sin is OK.
  5. Don't worry about the consequences of your actions.
  6. Don't punish sin (since sinners are not responsible for their actions).
  7. Man's values should come from the heart, not others, not scripture.

Note: The last one I had difficulty describing like I wanted. It comes from pride -- one of the major aspects of Satan's plan that I often forget about. Satan wanted all the glory for himself. Projecting that onto us, it manifests itself as pride in our own ability to decide what is best. We don't need to take our values from tradition or scripture or any external source -- whatever feels good and seems right must be.

I believe all of the above can be deduced from Satan's plan, though I admit that some of them may come from other scripture and discussions of the characteristics of Satan and how he tempts us.

One thing that really jumped out at me after I had put the list together is how closely those statements match what is often referred to as the liberal agenda or leftist thinking or secular thought. From listening to Dennis Prager, reading Mona Charon (her book "Do-Gooders" is an exceptional book about how many of the above attitudes have led liberals to adopt policies that were intended to do good, but destroyed character instead and produced disasters -- you should all read it and make everyone you know read it), reading Laura Ingraham, and others, I have come to see just how successful Satan has been at re-establishing his plan in the world, even among Christian or Judeo-Christian societies. His policies are very appealing and seductive, yet how absolutely destructive they are.

Analyze most liberal policies and you will see aspects of many of Satan's plan in those policies. Or the other way around, look at Satan's plan and you will find many examples of them in liberal policies. Or look at secular thought and you'll see it, too. For example, Dennis Prager interviewed a girl recently who had decided to become bisexual after being indoctrinated in college (in women's studies classes). One thing that was very clear in the interview was the pride element mentioned above -- the values she had dreamed up in her heart were obviously superior to values established by God or even by thousands of years of social history. Laura Ingraham emphasizes the "someone else will take care of us" and "someone else knows what is best for us" attitudes of most leftists, whom she calls "elitists" for precisely these reasons. And so on.

Look carefully and you will see that Satan's plan is alive and well in our society. Hopefully the anti-liberal backlash we are starting to see will root out much of it, but I think we've got a large job ahead of us.
