1776 Musical
Yours, Yours, Yours

John Adams and his wife, Abigail, spent most of their time apart while John was in Congress. In those days, it took many days to travel from their home near Boston and Philadelphia, where Congress was held. The only means of communication was by letter. John and Abigail wrote hundreds of letters to each other, often very touching. This piece depicts one of their exchanges and the loneliness they both felt being apart so much.

Unfortunately, the recording stops just as the piece gets moving. However, it does capture my solo at the beginning.
