"Michelle's Angels" was formed in back in 2005 by Tiffany Barber to support her sister, Michelle Bynum and other women like her who have been diagnosed with breast cancer in the prime of their life. Like so many young women, Michelle was misdiagnosed for two years by her OBGYN. For years she was told that the lump was nothing, just changes in her breast or milk. After breast feeding her son Reid, Michelle demanded a mammogram to get a closer look at the lump she had been feeling. The words "you are too young...the techs will laugh" will resonate with Michelle and the rest of her family forever. Unfortunately, her doctor was VERY wrong. She was diagnosed with stage IIIC breast cancer nearly three years ago. Since then, she has completed treatment and is enjoying life with her husband Brad, their 4 year old son Reid and family and friends. While she is living life to the fullest, her story did not have to be like this.

"Michelle's Angels" walk is to raise awareness that breast cancer is NOT an old woman's disease. "Michelle's Angels" walk in honor of those fighting, as well as in memory of those who have valiantly fought and are no longer with us. We walk to remind everyone that there is a happy, wonderful life after a cancer diagnosis. Please join us on Sunday, November 2nd. If you are unable to walk with us, please consider donating to this very important cause. Since it's inception, "Michelle's Angels" has raised nearly $43,000 for breast cancer treatment, research and awareness. Come make a difference and be a part of something bigger than yourself. Every "Angel" and every dollar will put us one step closer to finding a cure to this deadly disease.
