Carole A. Feuerman is acknowledged as one of America's major realist sculptors. In 2004, she exhibited in "An American Odyssey 1945-1980" with the most prominent American artists of the post-WWII era. A comprehensive one-person show at the QCC Art Museum entitled "Resin to Bronze Topographies" (catalogue essays authored by critics John Yau and Donald Kuspit) was followed by installation of her work into the permanent collection of the prestigious Grounds for Sculpture. Feuerman's selected honors include the Peabody Award, the Betty Parson Sculpture Award, the Medici Award from the City of Florence, and the Achievement Award from Cadillac. Her work is included in the selected collections of President Bill Clinton & Senator Clinton, Dr. Kissinger, President Gorbachov, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, the Bass Museum, the Boca Raton Museum, and the Forbes Magazine Art Collection. In March 2007, PBS aired Feuerman's second workshop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, "La Escultura, La Tecnica," organized by the museum's education curator, Rosa Tejada. On June 6, 2007, Feuerman's solo exhibition, "By the Sea," opens at the Pavilion Paradiso, in Giardini, Venice (curated by John T. Spike). This exhibition--made possible by Fabio Marrafatto & Marina di Bertoldini, of Scriba Gallery, and the Consiglio Europeo dell'Arte--will continue through to November 21, 2007, in conjunction with the Venice Biennale. On June 11, 2007, at Art-st-Urban, in Lucerne, Switzerland, she will present "Erotic 1976 - 1983," an exhibition organized by Gertrude Kohler-Aeschlimann (catalogue essays by critics Stephen C. Foster and Peter Frank). On August 30, Feuerman exhibits "Serena" at OPEN2007, the International Sculpture Exhibition, held alongside the Venice Film Festival in Venice, Lido, and curated by Paolo de Grandis. On October 27, 2007, her solo exhibition "Neptune" will be held at Scott Richard's Gallery, in San Francisco. Feuerman was commissioned by the Sculpture Foundation to unveil her new sculpture, "Seward's Muse," in the spring of 2008. In October 2008, a traveling group exhibition, "Psychedelic - Optical Visionary Art Since the 60's," curated by David S. Rubin of the Brown Foundation, San Antonio Museum of Art, Texas, will exhibit, "Gloria," one of her earliest paintings, from 1968. A traveling retrospective at the Amarillo Art Museum in Texas, curated by Graziella Marchicelli, will open November 8, 2008 to January 11, 2009. Feuerman is currently working on her next monograph as well as a documentary film, written by Rachel Stella and produced by DreamMakers, Inc.
