Mel Coppock to hang up his spark plugs
Mel Coppock, MD of Raw Striker Limited, has announced this month that he intends to retire before the end of 2009 and is looking for someone to take over the business.
Mel is a familiar face in the industry and under his management Raw has built an enviable reputation for its race-winning Striker and Fulcrum, and its range of Toyota engine installations.
Speaking from the Raw HQ in Herefordshire, Mel comments, ‘This is a big decision for me. We’ve spent the past few years improving the Striker and developing and launching the Fulcrum. The positive feedback we’ve received on both cars and our success on the track has blown me away. The Striker is more agile, fun and easy to drive than ever, and the Fulcrum is unbeatable on the track. But I’m a few years overdue a double hip replacement and this is a good time for me to bow out.’
