Pondering  Wolf Creek Rapids on the Selway

--NEW: San Juans Islands photo page. Jumping jellyfish (on my blog). Selway River photo page. Hummers are long gone. Asters still blooming in the mountains. Gale Force IPA is a satisfying brew.

-- CHECK OUT MY BLOG:
Hi! I’m Pete Zimowsky. This is my Web page about wildlife and the natural world that we love.   I’ll try to provide photos of critters and scenic areas around Idaho and the country that I hope you will enjoy.
Check this page out at least once a week for updates and new photos.

Outdoor beer blog: Old Chub’s is pretty good. Highland Hollow’s Full Moon Stout is a hit; Table Rock’s Chocolate Porter is a favorite; Hale’s cream stout, Manny’s, Maritime Pacific Dark Amber Ale all good brews.

-- NEW BLOG PHOTOS AND STUFF:  No more hummers. Jellyfish? Salmon at an urban wildlife display. Sunflowers are valuable.

You can see sandhill cranes in the high meadows of Idaho in late spring and early summer. The best places are Camas Prairie, in Bear Valley or up in Sawtooth Valley.

-- FEATURED PHOTO PAGES:
Check out my new San Juans photo page and last summer’s Selway River page (August 2008 float). Also see canoeing the upper Salmon page and also the wildflower page. These are flowers I’ve photographed this spring.  I’ve retired my Galena skiing page, Lochas fishing page and Hells Canyon page.  I’ve left my Leslie Gulch page up because it is an early spring hiking area.
