Who is this Motley Crew? Only the best basketball rats Anacapa Middle School... and probably all of Ventura ever produced. This gang of kids were caught right smack in the middle of the greatest time of basketball ever, the 80’s. We had Heroes like Magic Johnson, Larry Bird (even though most of us hated him cause he played for Boston), Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Spud Web, James Worthy...man this goes on forever. We were all caught up in that magical time and just could not get enough of the best sport ever invented. School started at 9am, but most of us got to school a little after 7am and played up until the tardy bell. We played at every break, and for hours after school. For many it was a passion, and some perhaps a way to get away from the other harsh realities in our adolescent lives. This picture was taken on the last day of school in 1988. For many it was our last day at Anacapa before we moved on to High School. Some of us went on to play with and against one another in High School, some just drifted apart. High School has a tendency to do that as our lives and hormones change.

But what happened to all these cocky looking’ kids?

Thats what I would like to know, so I created this page for the old crew. yes, it’s been almost 20 years, but I still think of those days fondly and I’d love to hear what every one is up to. So, If you happen to come across this site, and you or someone you know is on this picture, PLEASE email me with who you are in the picture and what your life has been up to! As I get the info I will post it on the roster to the left.
