AKA......... “The birth of a nation”
Everywhere you go, and I mean everywhere, whether it’s a back street or on main street you see the flags. Most often it’s the Albanian and American flag flying side by side. Kosovars hold very dearly what the United States did in helping them in their quest for independence.
This Sunday the 17th of February the world will get to experience the long anticipated, oft delayed birth of a nation. The government of Kosovo has now announced that the delivery of country number 195 will take place at 15:00 hours [3 pm].
Kosovars see the United States as a mid-wife of sorts, helping them through one of their most troubling times and staying by their side though out a very difficult pregnancy.
We, along with many others in the world are praying for a very painless and peaceful delivery with no ill after effects.
