My first Albanian word....

I learned my first Albanian word yesterday.  Uje [pronounced “oo wee”] is the Albanian word for water. It was somewhat ironic as our water had been off since midmorning yesterday.  “Nuk kemi uje”  meaning “don’t have water” was the phase for this morning.  Along with the electricity going off and on, we are told that this is a fairly common event.  I am starting to think that “squatty potties” really do make sense as you don’t have to flush them. [Of course my friend Karilee in Oregon might have a different opinion on this having had to wear one white and one yellow sock the last time she was here].

“kemi uje”- meaning have water-as in all over our bathroom floor after failing to get the washing machine with all the instructions in German properly hooked up correctly has been the patience test for today. But...........In a couple of minutes I will be out the door in search of a printer cable for our HP printer that came sans a cable.  Anyone know how to say “help” in Albanian?
