7. COOKIES AND ONLINE PROCESSING
We use two types of cookies on the Website - session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are only temporary and are erased when your browser leaves the Website. They do not contain any personal information. Session cookies are important because they allow us to remember certain information whilst you are online (e.g. the items you wish to purchase) and help us to manage your Services (e.g. by allowing us to tailor the Website to your own preferences and by preventing someone else logging on simultaneously to your account).
Persistent cookies are stored on your computer's hard drive until you erase them or they expire. We usually use persistent cookies only for certain parts of the Website (e.g. if you enter a competition or follow a link from one of our partner websites). These cookies may contain some personal data, but do allow us to track how effective our Services, partnerships and competitions are and help us to tailor the Website to meet your needs.

As part of your use of the Website we may also use other means of assessing how you make use of the Website, of our Services and how you respond to offers we may tell you about. We may do this by using pixel tags - which are tiny graphic images that for example tell us which parts of the Website you visit or if you perform a search of the Website - how effective that search was.
In addition to the above and like the majority of websites, we also capture and store certain other information automatically. This information forms part of a log record and typically includes IP addresses (internet protocol), ISP information (internet service provider), your browser type and operating system, dates and times you used the Website, what you did whilst on the Website and web-pages you came from or went to (before and after the Website). This information does not contain personal data, but is important because it allows us to monitor and analyse use of the Website and make adjustments accordingly.
8. SECURING YOUR DATA
When you place an order or access your account information, we use a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, as required by the UK Data Protection Act 1998, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given to us, to prevent unauthorised access. In respect of the Services and/or Website, you shall comply with the terms of use, instructions and guidance that we may issue from time to time and take all reasonable steps applicable to ensure the security of information processed via the Website/pursuant to the Services (e.g. by following any recommendations we make about system performance or the choosing and changing of passwords).

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide to us is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If any of the details which you have provided to us later change (e.g. your surname, or address) then you must notify us as soon as possible. If for any reason you are concerned that the personal information maintained by us is not correct, or it changes or if you no longer desire our service we will endeavour to provide a way to correct, update or remove the data you have provided us with. This can usually be done by contacting our HYPERLINK "www.bluebellnewsreel.com". You also have a right of access to the information we hold about you.
