Shot in the same location as Pick, this video is an exploration of recorded space and time. I set up the video camera to record a wall in the apartment, including a reflection of the window outside to indicate the passage of time. This video is intended to be projected at 1:1 scale onto a wall in a gallery - removing the image from the original location, and re-contextualizing it in the new non-domestic setting. The idea is further complicated by the fact that this particular setting appears as empty as a stage set, rather than a cozy domestic location. While this piece was installed at my Second Year review at Bard College, I observed people in the room congregating in the area in front of the image, as though it were a cozy spot where they could chat.
