The kids learned the word for quiet, sheket, as well as the words for boy and girl, yeled and yaldah.  They also learned the plurals for these words, yeladim and yeladot.
 
Vowels and Shofar

Today, Aviva’s primary classes learned about the Hebrew vowels called “patah” and “kamatz,” both of which make the sound “ah” as in “father.”
 
Rabbi Garfinkel came in to demonstrate shofar blowing.
