There are stars whose radiance is visible on earth

though they have long been extinct.

There are people whose brilliance

continues to light the world,

though they are no longer among the living.

These lights are particularly bright

when the night is dark.

Remembering KK -

I will deeply miss the physicality and emotionality of Kathy. I can only hope that I will always be able to enjoy the intimacy that we shared in the privacy of my mind.

I loved the sound of Kathy's voice - I loved the way she laughed - I loved her sensuality - I loved the way her eyes smiled when she busted my chops. I loved the way we fit into each other’s lives. Mostly, I will miss just how good it felt to be her special friend.

I have had some alone time now and whenever I allow myself to feel the reality of this huge loss in my life, no matter how bad I feel, I keep remembering how she became more and more peaceful and more and more calm as she began letting go. She actually smiled with her last breath. I am sure her last smile was to lift the spirits of all her loved ones who were watching her move on.

As I write, I am listening to a recording of Kathy singing a 22 second sound byte, a message that she left me on my voicemail several weeks ago when she was healthy and vitally alive. I am sharing her song here, now, because in a way, her message to me is really a message for every one...

You said Goodbye and I say "Until we meet again..."

I LOVE YOU KATHY!
