Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade
Sunday, October 29th, 2006

Well, it was that time of year again for the Haute Dog Howl’oween Dog parade & costume contest.
This year it was a family affair. Mochi & Olive transformed into Geishas, Woody was a rickshaw puller & I was dressed in a hand made kimono I’ve had since I was a teenager. All of our outfits were from Japan. I hand made the wigs myself ! Woody was the handy man & had the vision & made the rickshaw! All our hard work paid off.....it was a great success! We placed in the top 10, out of over 500 dogs! It seems we were a crowd favorite. As we strolled down the parade route, we received standing O’s, cheers, loud applause, lots of laughs, pets & screams to look this way & that, to pose for a photo op. It was like being a celebrity with the papparatsi! The amazing thing was that the girls just sat so stoically in the rickshaw the whole time, never trying to get out. We were so proud of them. German T.V contacted me through Justin Rudd to feature us on their show/documentary of some sort. They filmed us getting ready, followed us along the parade route, interviewed us & then filmed us at the end, when we were announced as finalists & as we were going home. It will be fun to see the segment, even if it’s in German. Maybe Mochi & Olive will be famous in Germany!

Amazing what we do to our pets.
               But we love them!
