Harold  Olejarz

Harold, a native of Brooklyn, New York, is an artist and educator. After receiving an MFA from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn he worked in various media and modes. Beginning as a wood sculptor, he shifted from this static format to performance art. Documentation of his performances were recorded by various photographers. Some performances were solo others involved groups of participants. Largely, these occurred in urban locations. Always experimenting, Harold became involved in photography and computer imagery. My drawings and photographs of Harold date from 1975 to the 1990s. The first photograph shows Harold with my daughter Jennifer Lisa Koslow, at Storm King Sculpture Park, in New York state . The last two photographs were taken at Knole, the great English house in Kent. Harold and I married in 1980. For some of my pictures of Harold’s performances click here.
