Quest - Day 3

Quest - Day 3 Wednesday 7/11/07

That morning got up @ 5:05 our team got out there on the PT field in ok time @ 5:35 but we could have done better.

We got back like @ 6:10 and did our thing with getting ready for the day.

Then @ 6:30 MOST of us started doing our devotions like we were supposed to do. In my wisdom search that morning I went through these verses:

Deuteronomy:
12-13
16

Collossians:
3:16

Philipians:
4:8

Romans:
6:11-19

Psalm:
11

@ 7:25 we went to go get breakfast in the field house and then @ 7:30 we ate.

Then @ 7:45 Mr. James (who went through ALERT) hosted the wisdom search with us that morning and was teaching us about loving God.

Capt. Menzel spoke to us at the science hall @ 8:30. He was teaching us all kinds of things that were well worth listening to! He was saying how we all tend do say often that “Its my job”. He also gave us some pointers like:
Relationships - The foundation of everything.
Communications - The foundation of relationships.
Praise and Encouragement - The foundation of Communications.
He talked abut character, plum lines, and what happens when there is lack of encouragement. He told us the laws of the harvest. He gave us a “Paradigm Shift Exercise” and much more!

@ 10:35 we went out for a work project, where we did lawn work.

@ 12:00 had lunch.

@ 12:40 GREEN HAD DISHES! YAH! =) LOL

@ 14:00 we had some canoe lessons. And in the bathrooms where we changed I started to walk in and saw this BIG spider, showed some guys and then they were telling me what kind it was cuz I did not know! I walked away because more and more people were trying to look and personally I did NOT want to stick around. And I did not want to be late for canoeing class, they did not like that. =)

@ 16:40 we went back from canoeing on the bus i think, maybe not this day can’t remember (this is where green Quest guys come in and add a comment telling me) and then we got dressed and ready for supper.

@ 17:00 had supper.

@ 17:30 Dishes FOR RED! (sorry red)

@ 19:00 Menzel got up there and was going to start but Mr. Kordik ( the head of Quest) said they had lost and found. So he wanted to do it how they did it in I think the Marines. So he got up there and got the first item and said if the owner wants it for 1 dollar then come up if not we start the bid at 1 dollar and anyone can buy it. And that’s how they did it from then on. =) Someone even lost there pants! (See Video)

We then went through James 4 with Capt. Menzel. He gave us some more pointers like how to think outside the box and of course not to say “its not my job”. He was saying that “life is balance”. Then he was done and the next morning was his last day.

@ 20:00 we were getting ready for the next day doing journaling and saying our verses that we had to memorize.

@ 21:00 Mr. Shepherd (our green group letter) shared with us a lot that night and we went through some verses like: 1 Thessalonians and 1 Corinthians.

@ 21:32 we went to bed.

Went to bed, and that was the end of day 3! =)
