Today was a wonderful day!!!! At breakfast several friends gathered around me and all sang, Happy Birthday. Yes, a little embarrassing, but I love it. We then went to a wonderful worship service here at PFO. Then we all boarded our busses (2 charter busses full of people) and were off to Niagara. First we walked all around the American Niagara State Park and got to be very close to the water where it actually goes over the falls. A group of friends sang Happy Birthday to me again while we were walking through the park. Again, a little embarrassing, but wonderful. We then headed to the Canadian side. For lunch Preston, Logan and I ate at the Hard Rock Cafe. We had lots of fun and our food was yummy. After lunch we walked around some and then went on the Maid of the Mist. It was wonderful, a must for anyone going to Niagara Falls. Check out some photos on the photos page.
So, last Thursday night our family started on a road trip that has so far taken us 1700 miles. First we went to Michigan and stayed with various family members. We had a great time visiting with all of them. Logan loved seeing everyone. Almost everyone had a garage door and he enjoyed opening and closing them. After 5 wonderful days of visiting about 20 family members we left Michigan and headed to Canada. (This is the shortest way to get to NY). Preston had never been to Toronto so we took an extra day and spent some time touring the city. We went up to the top of the CN Tour (which Logan loved the big elevator and wanted to do it repeated times) and the Sky Dome. It was really nice because we ended up having our own tour guide. After finishing in Toronto we headed to Houghton, NY where we will be until July 3rd. We are having an absolutely wonderful time meeting lots of the people we will be living by in just a little over a month. Check out the photos page for lots of
The top floor of our house was a large roof patio with grill and small kitchen. We all had a great time grilling hot dogs and hamburgers, listening to music and watching the kids dance around. It was a very enjoyable evening.
All the kids enjoyed playing in the sand. We had a few rainy days, but most of the time it was beautiful outside. Even though Logan loved the beach, he was a bigger fan of the swimming pool. We had a private pool at our house, which was great!!!!
