My Blog

As most of you know, I run.  I am not the fastest nor do I run the longest but Logan and I try to go for a run 4 to 5 times a week.  Logan loves to see garage doors.  So, we modified our run to include as many garage doors as possible.  A couple weeks ago we decided to modify our run again.  Now I run a little extra during the run and stop at Patriot Park (really more of an open field park because there is no playground).  I get Logan out of the stroller and we run together.  We run up and down the hills, touching trees and picking up flowers (okay some of them are really weeds but he does not know the difference).  One of his favorite things to do is look for blowies (dandilions).  We stop anytime we see one and blow as hard as we can to get all of the blowies off.  Logan has so much fun running and laughing and just being in nature.  It just brings joy to my heart.  I know this has become an important part of our run for him because as I am getting him out of the stroller he tells me all about what we did the last time we stopped at the park and all about what he wants to do this time.  I love how my 2 1/2 year old reminds me how some of my most precious memories can be found by just giving him a little extra time in the great outdoors.
