We tumbled down the hill from Penjor Choling in the dark. Our hotel in Punakha had been booked and we gratefully settled into the spacious and comfortable rooms. The next morning as we wandered about we realized what a splendid place we had landed in.
In the Mist and the Wonder
The hotel was outside of the village surrounded by forest.
The Zangdhopelri Hotel is owned by the royal family and demonstrates their excellent taste.
Our rooms were little cabins.

We spent some time doing Kora, wandering the grounds
And absorbing the beauty.
