This magnificent stupa was built at the crossroads of two very busy roads. One leads to China. The other leads to Nepal. As a border area there is a large presence of troups....India defending, it’s border. Kalu Rinpoche declared that this stupa would help diffuse tension in the volatile area.

When we drove into the courtyard the monks were setting up offerings to Vajra Yogini.

We left as dark descended.
Sherab, Kalu Rinpoche’s cousin, was such a wonderful help to us. Lama Tashi, his good friend, was our escort.

Khenpo, the abbot of the Stupa, is a great Tara devotee. He hopes we will be able to dance at the stupa someday.
