Leila, our Tara Dhatu Regional Director of the South of Brazil, organized a weekend teaching for Prema in Curitiba. Curitiba is a fascinating city. The Mayor has focused on creating public spaces of great beauty and we were fortunate enough to have the time to visit the Botanical Gardens. The retreat was attended by a fabulous group of dancing Taras.
Curitiba -  Luz & Amor-Love & Light
MyriDakini and I were met at the airport by three high spirited Taras welcoming us with this exuberant bunch of flowers.
The hosting group was from Lama Samten’s sanga
We stayed at a lovely apartment close to the Botanical Gardens. We had the morning off and spent a delightful time exploring.

Next to the glass conservatory is a garden adorned with innovative bamboo structures.

It was an interesting sensation walking through this set of arches
The uprights are metal, the bamboo roof, undulates

Next to the bamboo garden this exhibition hall snaked around the glass conservatory.
The sculptures are all constructed out of wood left behind after the Amazon forrest was burned.
The artist, Franz Krajcberg, donated his work and the building it is housed in to the city.

In the corner of the estate this bridge led to expositions about environmental issues

The weekend teachings were well attended.
Most of the attendees were already practicing in the Buddhist tradition
We were all inspired by the exchange.
Grace, a young Tara from Porto Alegre, wore this amazing blouse, so happy I had the camera around to capture this mandala.
Leila opened this circle, leading the group in a Tara weekend and helping them to make all the arrangements for this visit. Myri, Mara, Grace and Rose (our sweetheart driver)
We are a great team. Myri, Central Coordinator of Tara Dhatu for Brazil, Leila, Regional Tara Dhatu Director of the South.
