Thom and Larry’s Bearhawk Site 2008
Thomas Brown and Larry Sullivan became neighbors in Hartford, Wisconsin in early 2007 and enjoyed riding bicycles for recreation. During one of the rides Larry, who has never flown before, mentioned an idea of building an airplane that he had considered for may years but had never gotten around to. Thom, a pilot for more than twenty years, had coincidentally just purchased plans for a Bearhawk (www.bearkhawkaircraft.com) in the hope of someday building it himself. Thus a partnership, Bearhawk, LLC was born. The construction log will track our progress and serve as documentation for the FAA.
We’re getting back on track to get our Bearhawk flying (with passengers) by June 1, 2010! Colin Campbell’s Bearhawk (above, at Oshkosh) was an inspiration!

The Bearkhawk quick-build kit arrived the day after Thanksgiving. 25 degrees outside but a beautiful sunny day. Thom opens the hangar doors.
