Stoddard Home |
Established
in 1975, the purpose of the Island Pond Association is to enhance the quality
of life and the environment on Island Pond.
If you enjoy Island Pond, -- its water quality, aquatic plants,
wildlife, waterfront, or boating, -- please join the Association. Membership is on a family basis and is
very reasonable, particularly when you consider all the things the
Association does. Here is What We Do·
Volunteer Lake
Assessment Program (VLAP) is a joint program involving the NH Department of Environmental Services (DES), local
volunteers, and associations. ·
Weed Watching - The DES Exotic Species
Program coordinates activities associated with the identification,
control and management of exotic aquatic plants that present a risk to many
bodies of water in NH and elsewhere.
In conjunction with the DES, an active group of volunteers at Island
Pond sponsors local education programs and the local volunteer monitoring
effort. ·
·
The Association acts as an informal communications link with other
organizations and entities in order to stay informed, obtain and pass on
information to members and guests attending the Annual meeting. ·
