What is the “Ponderous Universe?”

The Origins

When Ponderous Productions discovered the secret to making low budget films (and we do mean low budget), Brett Mauser saw a problem. All of their actors kept appearing in all of their films. As cast and crew alike fell in love with the characters, they all wanted to see more of them. So, Brett settled in on making a continuity throughout all of his films.

When a character dies in an earlier film, he will not miraculously reappear in another. This is NOT to say that actors won’t play different characters, but when Angel is murdered in “Cartel Killaz,” she will not reappear in “The Bad Mojo Project.” But it does not prevent the actress, Valerie Posas, from reappearing in later films as a different character, for instance, Ranger Carmella James in Apocrypha.

Quite simply, the Ponderous Universe is the “universe” in which all of the Ponderous Productions take place. Created by Brett Mauser, with limited actors, locations and especially money, the universe uses the same characters throughout all of its films to create a continuity in motion pictures the likes of which have never been seen before....and probably won’t be duplicated.

Chronology

Keeping up on the continuity throughout the movies can be difficult as a fan, so you can only imagine the nightmares that occur with the writers. When they want to bring back William Sloan, “Oh crap! He’s dead!” But no worries! Pa-pow! A PRE-quel is born.

On the following pages you will find the current continuity lists of the films in the Ponderous Universe and the order in which they appear. You will also find short bios on the main players in the Universe. If you do not see your favorite character on these pages, don’t worry, as long as they were in three or more films, they will appear on these pages eventually.
