The Third Annual Hawai‘inuiakea: Native Film Showcase, featuring works by Native Hawaiian and other indigenous filmmakers, is Wednesday and Thursday, August 22 and 23, at the Hawai‘i Convention Center. The Showcase is presented in conjunction with the Native Hawaiian Convention and the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement. The Showcase is sponsored by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Pacific Islanders in Communications, All Roads Film Project, Kamakakuokalani Center for Hawaiian Studies, Kawaihuelani Hawaiian Language Program, and the Academy for Creative Media at the University of Hawaii. All events are free and open to the public.
