the short story.

since there’s a TON of catching up to do, i figured i might as well start with the facts.

as you may or may not know i’m working with a non-profit organization called invisible children.  it’s a media-based organization that tells the story of those affected by the 21-year war in northern Uganda, a country in east Africa.  the war is between the northern Ugandan government a rebel group called the LRA.

but that’s just the top of the iceberg.

last week during my training, one of the filmmakers laren came and told us the history of the war.  my mind was blown.  absolutely blown.

now it’s your turn.

before i even get into what invisible children does, i absolutely MUST share these facts with you... it may be super detailed and seemingly-daunting, but i cannot stress how interesting and horrifying it all is.

this war is so much bigger than 21 years of conflict.  it’s even bigger than just northern Uganda.  it goes waaaaaaay outside what i thought i knew about it and my mind is absolutely blown and overwhelmed by how intricate it really is...

it’s insane.  but it also really affirms why i’m here doing this.. why everyone is here doing this...

so if you’re prepared for it, if you REALLY want to know, go here.
