team socal.

i just realized i hadn’t really introduced my team to you guys.

understand that it’s physically impossible for me to give any of them justice.

just know that they are each, in their own right, incredible human beings and i am so
fortunate to know them, let alone spend 3 months on the road with them.

consider me one lucky girl.

 Ben. 19.
Ben comes from Florida has already accomplished more than I could ever dream to accomplish. At 17,  he co-owned a coffee shop/art gallery. Currently, he owns and designs for a clothing company called Call For Love. His next plan is to open a deli/clothing store.  Basically, he’s legit. He has a lady back home, Veronica, who he loves dearly. He’s one of those people you can’t force anything which, which I LOVE. He’s so real, so blunt, so unaffected. He’s the one I’m least close to, but the times we have had actual conversations, I really feel like we do connect.  He’s somewhat of a mystery to me so I’m excited to learn more about him and from him. And on top of that, he’s freaking HILARIOUS. The end.

Andrea. 19.
Because this girl hails from Wisconsin, she has the best accent EVER. She hates when I point it out, but I don’t care.  It’s freaking awesome.  Andrea just has a very sweet spirit about her.  She has spent most of her time since graduating high school in Mexico so she definitely has quite a few stories to share. I’m incredibly excited to get to know her better during our time on the road because I know she has alot to offer. Possibly my favorite thing about Andrea is how freaking chill she is.  As you all know, I thrive around chillness and so it’s nice to have a kindred spirit in terms of that. Basically, this girl is amazing.

John. 23.
John, our team leader, was recently dubbed my new besty.  He’s one of those people who I’m naturally sort of drawn to thus it’s working so far. It’s really difficult for me to sum John up in a paragraph, but he’s great. Super silly, loves to dance, and he has this laugh that you could never mistake for anyone else.  He calls it a cackle, I call it perfection. I have an absolute blast with him, just acting like 10 year olds and cracking up constantly.  But with that, John provides wonderful conversation, nearly limitless vulnerability, and encouragement. His personality is big but so far, we’re vibing well.

                                   so that’s team socal.

i hate leaving you with just that.  there is SO much more to each of these individuals, but it’s just impossible to sum them up.  if you want to know more, give me a ring and I’ll give you the juicy details.  :)

in terms of us as a unit, it’s incredible to see how intentional invisible children is with the teams they create.  our team is an incredible mixture... where one person leaves off, another picks up.  I honestly don’t have any worries right now about how we’ll get along on the road.  of course there will be conflicts, but we’ve already committed to one another to let no conflict go unresolved.

we had a retreat a few weeks ago and our team really took the time to bond and get a lot out on the table.  our leaders asked us to really delve into our family life and taking the time to really consider and explain how we were each raised and how that affects us now was monumental.

at least it was for me.

so there’s that.
