he product of A musical Family, Ann-Janette discovered music at a very young age. In fact, she managed to write her first song at the age of eight (a feat that was not celebrated by her heavy handed piano teacher). As a teenager coming of age in a small midwestern city in Oklahoma, Ann-Janette soon found that music could indeed become the closest of friends.

Later, as college and career pursuits became more demanding, Ann-Janette let a lot of distance grow between she and her life long friend. It wasn’t until the gift of an old forgotten Salvation Army piano that the two were finally reunited... and this time for good.

Ann-Janette spent the next years writing and recording as life would allow. After three years, she released her first CD with the help of her brother, Down to Nothin’... a musical journey of exploration, hope and reality.

She followed that effort with a live TV concert event which was distributed nationwide to PBS Stations this past fall. Brighter Day Ahead is a collection of fan favorites and new originals that display Ann-Janette’s honesty and childlike hope. These traits along with her melodic sensibility have become the hallmark of her songwriting and performing.
